Jill Garman, LPC
Hello, I'm jill ...
I believe that the willingness to change and the courage and strength that this requires is an honorable virtue. I consider my role as a therapist a sacred privilege to journey along side of a person toward true and lasting change. My inherent warmth and calming nature along with sound clinical knowledge and experience provides clients a place to experience compassionate truth that they ultimately find within themselves and becomes their means to move forward.
My clinical specializations include working with adults as well as children and adolescents who are experiencing grief/loss, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, addiction, women's issues, codependency, and adjustment-related issues.
I also offer clinical supervision for therapists looking to improve their understanding and work with OCD. This supervision is not for licensure, but for clinical skill development.
My professional background stems from a Christian theoretical foundation that respects and does not seek to influence alternative religious beliefs. I practice from a Cognitive-Behavioral, interpersonal, strengths-based model with advanced clinical training in the area of sexual trauma as well as OCD using the CBT-ERP evidenced-based treatment.
